US venture capital disbursements in cleantech companies decreased by 44% to $1.1 billion in Q2 2011 compared to the $1.9 billion invested in Q2 2010, while the number of deals fell 12% to 68, according to Ernst & Young LLP/Dow Jones VentureSource. SustainX, Inc. has secured additional US $5.6 million from General Catalyst Partners.
